4 wheelers and just beach lovers! we love Brigantine Island, such a clean and friendly family beach. food is great, officers are friendly and hotels are reasonable. parking sometimes gets tuff at beach.

There is a public boat ramp(tuff park get there early-sometimes its free?).

but the 4×4 permit is very reasonable like 160.00 and fishing is great on north end(stay over night-but must have 1 pole in water),put jet ski on south end, swimming area for boats pull up too sand,i think at your own risk(no life guards)patrol said have 4×4 permit copy or pick on cell w/number readable or buy beach passes think 15 season for non 4x4ers.

we were stuck in light sand last yr and one of the patrol police pulled us right out.great friendly place.got to visit brigantine beaches!!!! as soon as they change there friendliness we move back down to Cape May.but i doubt it! must have a great mayor and rec dept manager now! keep them voted in!!!!!!!

If your disabled and have tags or placard, they let my friends on north end of beach only where 4×4 are permitted. -he can’t walk in sand! His legs are bad (war vet) they respect the handicapped (local police and patrols are so nice and helpful!!)-have to love this place little bit of heaven!

But again…. must have all id’s and valid everything for truck! Must be 4×4 too! This is a great little special place for family and metal detector people.

I’ve seen guys find coins (gold… something from ships that wrecked 100′s of yrs ago (they get washed up on beach every season) one guy said his coins are very valuable – big bucks secret! locals (great fishing updates and just info) and tourists both frequent the fun bars and you can walk to them, from the beach-on north end. one on southend too. there’s a bakery there and great pizza and ice cream.

and don’t leave even a cig butt on this beach. no one will tolerate that.

You will feel the cleanliness and friendliness of this special place!
