A 24 yr old Brigantine man is in serious condition after a violent car accident on Tuesday night.
Witnesses told police they saw John Rios driving erratically at a high rate of speed before crashing into a utility pole on the eastbound lane of Route 30, near the Bayview Motel in Absecon.
The car split into three pieces as Rios was ejected from his vehicle. The impact was violent. The car burst into flames after splitting in three parts.
Absecon Police and their Traffic Safety Unit are investigating the accident. Possible charges are pending.
