MARKET DAY August 2, 2014, will have the following activities for our theme of “National Farmers Market Week”
Due to the Triathlon attracting additional visitors, The Market will be open until 1:30 this Saturday to accommodate the additional traffic.

Get ready for this week’s Photo Challenge.
It is National Farmers Market Week. Share your best photo taken at the 2014 Brigantine Farmers Market.
Submit your photo by 9 am to the Green Team tent in the Park. Voting by Market patrons will take place until 10:30. Our Photo Contest winner will be announced at 10:45.
Please put your name and contact # on the back of your photo. Maximum photo entry of one per family & a maximum of 50 entrants. Please remember this contest is for AMATEURS ONLY! If you would like your photo returned please pick it up at the Green Team Tent between 10:45 & 11 am.

‘NEW JERSEY PERFECT PEACH PIE CONTEST ‘. CHECK IN AT THE GREEN TEAM TENT
The NJ Peach council sponsors the contest. The contest is OPEN to ALL South Jersey residents! All ages are welcome to submit, but you must be an amateur baker.
Bring your recipe if you are a last minute entry to the contest.
Present your pie or cobbler to the Gazebo by 11:30 for a noon judging by three professional pastry chefs. One lucky winner will go on to compete for best pie in Southern New Jersey.

The Island Quilters of Brigantine – The Quilters welcome and encourage new members. These very talented crafters also create works for Quilts for Kids to give comfort to seriously ill children.

ENTERTAINMENT AT THE GAZEBO
The Brandon Tomasello Duo will perform – This Frank Sinatra like crooner and trumpeting partner will have you swaying from 10 to 11.

COOKING DEMONSTRATION COOKING DEMO TENT in Haneman Park. Local chef and resident Ed Wilkins from Brigantine Seafood and Hooper’s Seafood Café will prepare a tasty treat from Market products. Ed has owned and operated Brigantine Seafood and Hooper’s since 1997.
See you Saturday, 8:30 a.m.–1:30, in Haneman Park at 15th and Revere streets by Brigantine City Hall.
