Oops. Brigantine Paid Too Much to Atlantic County

From Beachcomber News: A letter this week from Atlantic County Tax Administrator Margaret Schott admitted to a tax error that will result in a refund for property owners in Brigantine and most other county municipalities.

Brigantine overpaid the county $484,099.81 in 2014 for county library and public health taxes. The refund will most probably be returned to taxpayers in their first-quarter tax bills for 2015. The city tax collector, Dana Wineland, is on vacation and was unable to respond to an email regarding confirmation of that action.
