Atlantic City Attracting Interest from Bargain Hunters

Glenn Straub, the real estate developer that recently put a $90 million cash bid on Revel Casino-Hotel, is talking about possible plans for the newly shuttered property across the inlet from Brigantine Beach. One Straub idea is building a second tower at Revel to house a university like organization.

Mr. Straub also talked about a high-speed ferry, rail systems and an “underground passageway” for tourists to use in the winter.

Currently, Straub is the only official bidder for Revel. An auction will be held on Sept. 24 if another qualified bidder comes to the table. Straub; a distressed property specialist, says he wants a casino at the Revel property but that gambling won’t be the priority.
