Brigantine Begins Recovery, Winter Storm Jonas. Pictures & Video.

Here’s a collection of Winter Storm Jonas pictures, beating up on Brigantine Beach. This brutal nor’easter brought snow, ice, rain, fire, 30-60 mph wind gusts, and a full moon with multiple high-tides.

This made ‘Winter Storm Jonas’ in Brigantine, one for the record books.

Back-bay flooding and storm surge once again provided for a substantial part of the flooding. The Brigantine dunes and north-end seawall did their job as usual, holding back the angry front beach surf, as it pounded our barrier island all of Friday night and all day Saturday (Jan 23).

Thanks to all that continue to share and contribute to this jaw-dropping gallery of Brigantine / Winter Storm Jonas photographs.

  1. Thank you so much for your reporting. You were my source of information on what was happening in Brigantine. I called my mom 4 times from Mexico to be sure she and my sister were safe. I was even able to inform them what was going on as her complaint was the news on tv didnt tell her much about Brigantine. Sorry for those who didnt fair so well. Thanks again. So glad our island survived.

  2. I think it would be a great idea if a book and CDs of the storm could be made and raise money to help the people of Brigantine that had water in their house and can’t afford to have things get fixed put all the pictures together and make a book I think would be great idea

  3. Can you believe Gov. Christie said there was only 1 county “Cape May ” that flooded . Then had nerve to ask a lady should he go to NJ with s mop.
