Brigantine Community Center 2013 Programs

The Brigantine Community Education and Recreation Department is proud to announce the 2013 Winter Program for the residents of Brigantine.

Courses to be offered starting in January include: Ballroom and Latin Dancing, Intro to Piano, Digital Photography, Decorative Crafts, Ukulele for Beginners, Jewelry Making and CPR.

Increased emphasis has been placed on the Fitness course offerings: Yoga, Tai Chi, Pilates, Spin Class, Qigong, Shape Up, Zumba, and Booty Ballet will be offered. Two seminars will also be offered: Meditate and Aromatherapy.

• “For Seniors Only” specials include: Computers, Yoga, Senior Lite and Zumba.
• “For Kids Only” specials include: Chess, Photography and Enrichment program.

We are offering a Culinary Arts series: Easy Comfort Meals and All About Chocolate – sure to be sellouts.

The Cultural Arts program will include: Painting in Acrylics, Intermediate Watercolors and Oil Painting.

Recreational activities will include: Indoor Soccer, Basketball Clinics, Dodgeball, High School Basketball, Adult Coed Volleyball, Badminton, Adult Soccer Pickle Ball and Indoor Youth Activities.

The 2013 Concert Series will begin April 11 with the Fabulous Cole Brothers performing at the North School Auditorium. Thirteen concerts will be performed from April to December.

We are going to see the Tony Award-winning play “ONCE” on Broadway. We have tickets for Wednesday, April 24.

The CER is offering a 13-day Mediterranean Cruise May 5-17, 2013. We will depart from Rome and cruise to Santorini, Athens, Istanbul, Ephesus, Mykonos and Naples. A great trip at a great price.
