Brigantine Drug Bust Nabs Three Stoners.

Great work by our Brigantine Police Department: A two-month police investigation led to three arrests in Brigantine Friday morning, Oct. 4, spurred in part by information gathered from concerned citizens who reported distribution of marijuana and prescription pills.

The information was gathered by Officer O’Donoghue, and the investigation was led by Detectives Glasser and Ward of the Brigantine Police Department. A search warrant was executed in the 3600 block of Brigantine Boulevard by members of the Atlantic County Emergency Response Team and Brigantine Police. Located in the residence were several ounces of marijuana, prescription pills, and prohibited weapons.

Ivan A. Diaz, 23, of Brigantine was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and prescription pills with intent to distribute, distribution of marijuana and prescription pills within 500 feet of public parks and buildings, and possession of prohibited weapons while distributing controlled dangerous substances. He was lodged in Atlantic County Justice Facility on $120,000 bail.

Angel L. Diaz, 66, of Brigantine was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and prescription pills with intent to distribute, distribution of marijuana and prescription pills within 500 feet of public parks and buildings. He was lodged in Atlantic County Justice Facility on $70,000 bail.

A 17-year-old boy was also arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Anyone with information about the distribution of controlled dangerous substances is urged to contact the Brigantine Police Department. Information supplied by concerned citizens can result in the successful detection and apprehension of those involved in illegal activity.
