Members of the Brigantine Fire Department receive training in Pre-hospital Education for Pediatric Patients (PEPP) while on duty yesterday. PEPP is designed to teach pre-hospital professionals how to better assess and manage ill or injured infants and children.
PEPP is an advanced life saving course that every member of the Brigantine Fire Department is trained in.
Lt Daley and Firefighter/EMT Derrickson are PEPP instructors and they train the entire fire department in house, essentially saving the city thousands of dollars each year over sending the members out to receive training.
