Brigantine Getting Ice Cream on Beach?

The sun worshipers of Brigantine Beach might gain a few pounds this summer. The surf-side sale of ice cream and other frozen treats might just become a reality, as long as public comments and feedback are favorable. If the cool and creamy ordinance does go through, Nutty Buddys and snow cones could be sold directly on the beach by licensed vendors.

Mayor Phil Guenther noted that the front beaches, inlet and cove would be divided into three zones – any and all to be bid on by potential vendors, with veterans to be given hiring preference.
