Brigantine Teachers: 6th Highest Paid in New Jersey

It’s been reported by NJ.com that Brigantine has the 6th highest paid teachers in New Jersey. This comes on the heels of news revealed last week, that the Brigantine School District may have received pre-school funding using an error-prone application.

Note: the term ‘median’ means half of the teachers get paid higher, the other half gets paid lower. The salaries below are median.

Brigantine – highest cost per student in Atlantic County: $23,000. It was $21,000 in 2016.

Enrollment in Brigantine’s elementary and middle schools is declining fast. Defending the need for 2 schools, with 2 separate staffs, becoming more difficult to defend. It’s easy to see why the Brigantine School District, Mayor Guenther, and Councilmen Simpson & Sera were caught up in that Sea-Tots issue.
