The Democratic municipal chairman for Brigantine; Jerry Szucs submitted 3rd ward nominations to the City Clerk; Lynn Sweeney on December 11. Szucs was delivering three names to fill the vacant seat of former Brigantine 3rd ward councilman Joe Picardi, who recently retired prior to the end of his term.
The three names submitted:
- Gary Shea
- John Withers
- Phil Dwyer
Within 15 days, the majority of council (Republican Party), will select one from those three individuals to fill Picardi’s seat. The selection could take place on either DEC 29 or JAN 6.
