The Marine Mammal Stranding Center, the only facility in the State of New Jersey dedicated to the rescue of sick and injured marine mammals and sea turtles, relies heavily on donations to be able to operate. In an effort to ensure their on-going mission and efforts, the organization is holding a benefit fundraiser, the fourth annual Dancing With Dolphins from 5-9 p.m. Sunday, August 2 at One Atlantic, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean atop Atlantic City’s newest attraction-The Playground.
From the beautiful and graceful humpback whales, the ever-playful dolphins and seals,
and the critically endangered sea turtles, this event brings them all to the surface, and into our hearts and minds.
“Our staff is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to rescue marine mammals and sea turtles in need of care. We have seen over 4,500 whales, dolphins, seals and sea turtles come through our doors in our 37 years of existence,” said Robert Schoelkopf, Founding Director of Marine Mammal Stranding Center. “We hope those that love these creatures and support our mission to save them will open their hearts and give to help protect these extraordinary animals.”
Tickets are $75 per person and all money raised at the event will directly benefit the Marine Mammal Stranding Center. RSVP by July 17.
