Fall Fishing Strong in Brigantine Area Waters

Tautog

Here’s the latest fishing news from Captain Andy and Riptide Bait & Tackle in Brigantine:

Air and water temps continue to get cooler and we’re anticipating this upcoming Fall fishing season that will be here very soon. Looking forward to the striper migration that is coming down from the North to make a stop in Brigantine on their search for the Riptide Rotter’s and FRESH Riptide Bunker that we will have in the shop.

Until they do, head down here we will continue to have fun with the blues, kings, and spot that are still hanging in the Brigantine NJ waters.

Tog bite continues to be very strong. Blues are still in the surf and we are still waiting for the striper explosion to start. They have been starting to see more stripers on the night bite and early morning. The stripers that are getting caught in the back bays of Brigantine have sea live on them telling me they are coming from out front and that’s a great sign.

FRESH BUNKER is in Big Bertha and I have FRESH clams in the shell along with salted pints and quarts. I should be getting eels and spot in also today at some point and I will post as it comes in. We have been blowing through a ton of green crabs and the tog jigs have been flying off the shelves.

Call if you are going to take advantage of the night bite and can’t make it down here in time to get your bait.

There is only 2 months left get your Christmas shopping done and we just got in the ultimate gift for your angler. The Penn Liberty 50VISW in which they only made 1,000 of worldwide and we were able to get our hands in several of them. I almost don’t want to sell them and just sit on them as their value will only increase as the years go on. It comes with a beautiful display case and it’s a gift idea for the angler that has everything. They are limited so don’t wait to purchase this great gift idea. Stop by Riptide to check it out as we have 1 on display.

The Elks Striper Classic is 1 month away. Sign-up forms can be found at Riptide and the Brigantine Elks website.
