Brigantine Beach features the 27th annual “Hooked on Fishing” tournament, this Saturday, July 27. The free event will be held on the beach at 16th and Ocean Avenue.
Registration begins at 8a and is open for kids ages 5-15. Complimentary fishing rods for the first 100 kids that register, and all kids receive a Hooked on Fishing T-shirt. There will be loaner fishing rods available for late arrivals, provided by the Association of Surf Angling Clubs.
The surf fishing portion of the event runs from 9:30 to 11:30a. Lunch will be provided for all participants and there will be a short awards ceremony with trophies and prizes for event winners. Every young angler will receive a gift bag full of surprises, while two lucky winners will receive bicycles.
