We need Shark Park volunteers today & tomorrow. New mulch has arrived and is ready to be installed. Can you help? Are you available this Friday afternoon (5/30) and all day Saturday? Can you shovel and move mulch? This is one of the biggest jobs of phase #1. Some painting & power-cleaning has started. (Click thru to see pics) Some semi-dangerous issues remain (large holes in tube slide, rusted out handles, etc) Weeds still growing fast tho.
Kudos to Brigantine’s Paul Amalfitano. This guy is deserves huge credit for moving this project along. Of course, many volunteers are coming out and working behind the scenes. The park is in transition. They’re working to keep it safe for all ages… and keep it open. Enjoy the park, but know that some elements are currently blocked off for safety reasons. Estimates suggest that by the weekend of June 21, they will have all new swings, slides, etc.
