Stuff you might not know was there….. the Noyes Arts Garage Stockton College, attached to the ‘Wave’ parking garage, right across from Angelo’s Restaurant and the first light you hit after exiting the tunnel into Atlantic City.
The Arts Garage houses 15 artist studios, galleries, shops, a café, a flexible classroom studio, and hosts special events throughout the year. It includes a 1,200 square ft. satellite gallery of The Noyes Museum of Art, as well as the new home of the African American Heritage Museum and Atlantic City’s only Fair Trade Store.
Also inside this artist haven….”AC Comics” is a partnership featuring a former artist for both Marvel and DC Comics, among others. Original art work, prints as well as apparel featuring his artwork and logos. Eventually AC Comics plans to design and distribute graphic novels under the company name.
At the Arts Garage, you’ll find individual artists working in their studio/shop spaces. Each artist focuses on a different medium including painting, pastels, photography, illustration, found object sculpture, basketry and more. Visitors are invited to watch the artists at work, ask questions about their creative process, and purchase original artwork.
Stroll through the galleries and shops, stop for a bite to eat at the Atlantic Café, and enjoy convenient parking in the heart of Atlantic City adjacent to Tanger Outlets, the Convention Center, Boardwalk Hall and Dante Hall Theater. Spend $25 or more combined at the Arts Garage, and receive FREE parking in the Wave parking garage.
There is shopping to be done here…. From pottery to gourmet foods, from jewelry to painting, from fair trade goods to sculpture, and many more.
