Police Capt. Cox Sued Brigantine. Wins. Gets $325,000 Settlement

Cha-ching. Another big Brigantine public employee payday on Fantasy Island. Former Brigantine Police Capt. Ray Cox will receive $325,000 in a settlement related to a lawsuit he filed against the city in 2013. This does not include costs associated with 2 years of litigation.

This payout will be in addition to his pension & healthcare…all taken care of by Brigantine Taxpayers.

This announcement speaks to why a majority of Brigantine taxpayers wanted to hire a Public Safety Director, full-time, two years ago. This “Revolving Door Chiefs” issue…and other alleged Brigantine City Hall monkey business could ultimately squash the rebound of this beautiful shore town.
