One of BrigantineNow’s favorite place to hang; Revel Resort, is getting a major boost. Homeowners and visitors to Brigantine love the fact that we’re right next door to Atlantic City’s newest destination. So it’s great news that investors will pump $150 million in new financing to help the resort manage its debt and add new features. Revel also just hired a sharp, new marketing VP.
With more than 25 years in the casino industry, Ms. Darlene Monzo brings a wealth of marketing knowledge and experience related to all aspects of marketing with a focus on casino marketing. In her new role, Ms. Monzo will oversee Revel’s casino marketing, database marketing, Revel Card program and relationship marketing executive programs.
“Steps we’re taking will result in significant improvements,” said Darlene Monzo, Revel’s new senior vice president of marketing.
Monzo’s background includes vice president of marketing at Philadelphia Park Casino, Trump Entertainment Resorts, and Tropicana Casino.
Revel will also modify its dining & food options, adding more casual + quick food options and full service restaurants that are “accessible to a broader audience.”
“Darlene is a respected gaming professional,” said Kevin DeSanctis, chief executive officer of Revel. “Her years of experience in a variety of markets will provide insight and leadership to the Revel marketing team.”
Revel is a beachfront resort is smoke-free and features more than 1,800 rooms with ocean views. The resort houses a 130,000-square-foot casino with more than 2,400 slot machines, more than 100 table games, electronic tables and a 37-table Poker Room. Revel recently received regional recognition in the annual ‘Best of Philly’ awards by Philadelphia magazine, named the ‘Best of Philly 2012 Casino Hotel.’
