“It’s back to summer pattern fishing with a mix of spot, kings and croakers with some blues starting to get brave enough to use our surf now that the big shark bullies have tapered off,” said Andy Grossman, Riptide Bait and Tackle, Brigantine.
“Inside the inlet, keep fluke continue to be caught, mainly on live spot.”
“Surf action is about the same with croakers being the most prevalent species, along with spot, some spike weakfish and small fluke,” said Matt Slobodjian, Jim’s Bait and Tackle, Cape May.
“Cape May Point still seems to be the most productive spot for everything, with clam and squid baits catching all species.”
