Tugboat towing a dredging barge lost power on Saturday, Feb 20 in heavy seas off Atlantic City & Brigantine. Swells and 25mph winds beached the drifting tug and barge on the Brigantine side of Absecon Inlet.
The 77-foot tug, Miss Katie was towing the 135-foot barge, heading to the Great Egg Harbor Inlet.
No injuries or pollution were reported, according to the Coast Guard.
