Flotilla 8-5 operates in and around the Brigantine New Jersey area. Monthly meetings are held at 19:00 on the third Tuesday of each month at the Brigantine Community Center located at 265 42nd St. South in room 139. Refreshments and sandwiches are served.
The Coast Guard Auxiliary is a voluntary organization whose purpose is to augment the missions of the United States Coast Guard. The Auxiliary is non-military and has no law enforcement authority. The Auxiliary’s primary mission is to promote boating safety upon the inland and coastal waters of the United States of America.
This is accomplished through public education, vessel safety inspections, local safety patrols, and by assisting the Coast Guard in carrying out its Search and Rescue, maritime security and environmental protection responsibilities. We are the “eyes and ears” of the Coast Guard, ever ready to serve the needs of the boating public.
If you are interested in joining the Auxiliary, leave a message at (609) 726-7607 or email Alan Moose at: boatsafely@comcast.net.
Brigantine Flotilla 85 invites you to one of our meetings to learn about becoming a member of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.
