Can You Pass Brigantine Lifeguard Test?

Are you good enough to be a Brigantine Bayfront Lifeguard? Captain Joe Guenther and his team are looking for a few good men and women.

On Saturday, June 23 at noon, you can be tested at the 26th street City Dock. Must be at least 16, have a valid lifegaurding certificate, a safety instructor card, a copy of your birth certificate and a recent physical. For more details, call 609-266-2608.

Since 1938, the Brigantine Beach Patrol has kept our beaches & local waters safe as can be. In addition to keeping a watchful eye on swimmers,  oversee such local aquatic events like the Elk’s Club Bayfest and mile swim, the Brigantine Triathlon, and surfing Contests.

The Brigantine City Beach Patrol’s primary coverage area is approximately five miles of beach (with 25 stands). The patrol also responds to calls on an additional six miles of unprotected beach.
