SUMMER’S FAVORITE FRUIT IS FINALLY HERE!
The New Jersey Peach Promotion Council is sponsoring its second “Perfect Peach Pie” contest at designated farmers markets throughout the state in July and August. The Brigantine Farmers Market will be one of ten Judging sites for the New Jersey Perfect Peach Pie Contest!
August 2, 2014 will be the judging date for the ‘PERFECT PEACH PIE’ contest held at the Brigantine Farmers Market. The contest is open to any amateur baker and must be either a pie or a cobbler (no other peach dish allowed).
Professional and notable food people will judge entries at the farmers markets, selecting a finalist from each market. Finalists will go on to compete for two grand prizes of $300 each. MAY THE BEST PIE WIN!

Rules
Your Sample of actual baked product for tasting needs to be delivered to the judging table no later than 9 a.m. on Saturday, August 2, 2014. By submitting your recipe, you are allowing New Jersey Peach Promotion Council to publish it on their website and in related press releases. All ages are welcome to submit, but you must be an amateur baker, not a pro.
Prizes
Each market will select a winner. These winners will go on to take a second version of their winning pie or cobbler to a final judging site (to be announced at a later date) for two grand prizes: one in South/Central Jersey, the other in North/Central Jersey.
Grand prizewinners will each receive a check for $300 from the NJ Peach Promotion Council.
