The 2012 ‘Hooked on Fishing’ tournament was a big success on Saturday, July 28th.
The Brigantine Beach surf was filled with happy kids…catching lot’s of fish…specifically a small fish called SPOT… that was the primary fish being caught on this hot and steamy morning. Click thru to see pictures.
Brigantine’s Charlie Miller and the Hooked on Fishing crew from Long Beach Island did an outstanding job putting on this popular event.
Kids enjoyed educational booths on fishing, casting, knot tying and drug awareness. Thanks to the donations, free fishing rods were available along with lunch, t-shirts, bait, and door prizes. More details about Hooked on Fishing can be found here.
Attendees also enjoyed an exciting demonstration by the Coast Guard rescue chopper. Special thanks to all the sponsors for donating the prizes, free lunch and other goodies for the kids.
